Outdoor activities semi- close to Boise: Lake Cascade State Park

Bring your family to get a full day of outdoor activities at Lake Cascade on its 500-acre recreational area or have some water fun in the lake. Feel free to stay a few days at one of its campsites! Lake Cascade offers hundreds of campsites ranging from primitive to fully serviced hook-ups.

Hours: Day use locations are open from 7am to 10pm. Hours may change based on park managers discretion

Activities: Biking, birdwatching, boating, camping, cross country skiing, fishing, hiking, horseback riding, horseshoe pits, Junior Ranger, paddlesports, RVing, snowshoeing, Sailing, swimming

Group Use locations: Big Sage Shelter, Poison Creek Shelter, Snowbank, Osprey Point Group Yurt Camp, Lake Cascade State Park Conference Room

Amenities: Boat ramp, charcoal grills, dump station, electricity, fire rings, indoor flush toilets, indoor showers, group picnic shelter, swimming, drinking water

Camping Accommodations: group camp, RV campsites, tent campsites, Yurts

Overnight: 164 standard, 83 serviced -7 ADA, 32 primitive, 2 group camps- 1 group Yurt area and 3 yurt and group camping at Snowbank

Boating accommodations: ramps, handling docks, life jacket loaner station at Blue Heron, Van Wyk, Sugarloaf, Boulder Creeks, Buttercup, Poison Creek

Rent or buy: Kayak and stand-up paddle board. Visitor center has new retail equipment

Trail types: Hike, Bike, Winter groomed Nordic track

Wi-Fi: available with limited bandwidth and hotspots at some sites
